WEEK OF MAY 14TH
Greetings alL and Happy Mother's Day
This past week was filled with rehearsals, rehearsals, rehearsals. The students are perfecting their performances so that they can WOW you this week. I am in the process of finishing up my flyer so you will have all pertinent information. The performance for the school is on May 18th. You will be able to purchase your ticket for the evening performance (6:00 pm). We are just working out the easiest way to do this. I will add to this posting and send a “Remind” as well.
For the evening performance I will have the students stay with me. I will order pizza and a drink and dessert. Please send in $5.00 in cash. I will need that to pay the delivery person. If you choose not to purchase pizza, please send something for their dinner. I am ordering just enough for the students who purchase the pizza. I don’t want your child to be hungry. I anticipate the show to be approximately one hour. The students must collect their costumes and props and clean up the restrooms where they will be changing before they will be permitted to leave. It’s part of the theater experience to be responsible for their own things. I’ve brought many costumes to the school and I want them returned to me the same way I gave it to students.
I also want to remind the parents of the students who are going to the movies to see “The Greatest Showman” that our trip is scheduled for this Thursday, May 17th. When we return we will be doing our dress/tech rehearsal in the gym. I asked the students to have anything they will be wearing and bringing from home on Tuesday. We will be working with props and costumes in the classroom at that time.
Please look for my texts and Reminds this week. It is important that you are made aware of all the goings on in drama.
