WEEK OF MAY 7TH
Greetings all,
School is nearing the end of a great year. Celebrations are being planned, field trips are aplenty, school dances have commenced and we are seeing just a couple of weeks more of FSAs and EOCs.
In our drama class we’ve completed viewing “The Phantom of the Opera” movie and Monday we are taking a test on it. I’ve gone over the important facts to help the students answer their test questions. I’ve al given them the essay question which is ….come up with an alternate ending and justify your choices. In last week’s Weebly entry I’ve included the Youtube link for the student’s convenience so that they can review the story and all of it’s characters. A storm is predicted for tomorrow. What better way to pass the time than to watch a really good movie…I mean besides “The Avengers”.
I also taught the students the finale for our showcase. They are singing and “moving” to “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from the show “Hairspray”. I am hoping you all come to see the students perform. There are several forms of drama being featured and the students are getting better and better at their chosen disciplines. The Showcase is on May 18th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00. We hope to see you there.
I am still waiting for a few PG13 consent forms from some parents. Please ask your child if you did not get one to get another one for me for your signature.
I would also like to remind the parents about any outstanding balances owed to the school. These must be satisfied in order for your child to attend the May 17th field trip to the movies to see “The Greatest Showman”.
Have a great week!

Reminders:
May 7 - May 11: Teacher Appreciation Week
May 9: School Tour for New/Prospective Families 6 PM
May 11: Mother's Day Cakes
